An Anti-Bullying legislation is dire for Namibia
In May 2025 The Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations in the Republic of Namibia issued a Public Notice requesting for written legislative reforms by inviting members of the public and stakeholders to submit their proposals for new laws or amendments to existing laws. The submission due on 13 June 2025 is required to briefly state the issue the law would address and priority level – high, medium or low. We responded to the Public Notice: our Dr Shirley Shivangulula submitted, on 14 May 2025, a written proposal for a new law to be named the Anti-Bullying Act (ABA). We indicated this envisaged piece of legislation is of high priority.
